Luz Cucvas of the Galveston Buccaneers gave the Broncos a steady diet of fine pitches and he walked off the mound with a complete game shutout. He blanked them 3-0 on 4 hits with a total of 6 strikeouts and 3 walks.
The Galveston manager said, "Cucvas was on quite a roll. He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
