It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that San Luis's Cipriano Setello has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the third baseman may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.

 | Monday, September 7th, 1936: Horns Pitches Gem against Torreon
Wyatt Horns pitched a strong game in blanking the Torreon Algodoneros 5-0, allowed no runs on 4 hits, totaled 1 strikeout and gave up 2 walks.
The San Luis manager said he could tell right away it was going to be a good game for Horns. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," he said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
To date this season, Horns has a record of 14 wins and 18 losses and a 4.61 ERA. He has appeared in 50 games and struck out 100 in 326.1 innings.

The Player of the Week has been announced by the South. The award went to Dave Mahon, left fielder of the San Luis Tuneros.
He dominated league pitchers with a .500 average to win the honor. Mahon went 12-24 for the week, totaled 2 home runs with 7 RBIs and scored 7 times.
In his 1936 season totals, Mahon has 15 home runs, .342 BA, .400 OBP, 88 RBIs and 115 runs scored.
