 | Saturday, September 12th, 1936: Ouch! Scott Demacas Shelved by Injury
Medical officials from the Dallas Eagles reported that the club's 38-year-old starting pitcher, Scott Demacas, suffered dead arm syndrome in yesterday's matchup against the San Antonio Missions while throwing a pitch. Demacas is expected to miss 1-2 weeks of action.
To this point in the season, Demacas shows a 19-7 record, 30 starts, 236.2 innings, 90 strikeouts and a 2.78 ERA.

 | Tuesday, September 1st, 1936: Mahon Slams 5 Hits for San Luis
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," San Luis's Dave Mahon told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for Mahon today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Dallas. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Tuneros knocked off the Eagles 11-1 at Tuneros Grounds.
D. Mahon doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off M. Lopes in the 7th.
Thus far in 1936 Mahon is batting .339 with 14 home runs, 86 RBIs and 109 runs scored.
