Despite his hitting heroics they lost to the Beaumont Exporters 12-9. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a rise in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book.
Rochs just shook his head after the game, saying to the SION reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins...not the most hits."
E. Rochs singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off C. Gorrindo in the 8th.
Rochs currently has a .296 batting average with 136 hits, 3 homers, 33 RBIs, 63 runs scored and a .323 OBP. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | LF Blair Fallas | torn hamstring muscle | 7 weeks | Not on DL | | CF Ovidio Cason | torn ankle ligaments | 8 months | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 72-82, .468 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 26.0 GB | | Record at home | 36-41, .468 PCT | | Record on the road | 36-41, .468 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 7-8, .467 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 20-25, .444 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 15-20, .429 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 57-62, .479 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 7-3, .700 PCT | | Record in April | 16-12, .571 PCT | | Record in May | 14-14, .500 PCT | | Record in June | 9-18, .333 PCT | | Record in July | 11-15, .423 PCT | | Record in August | 13-14, .481 PCT | | Record in September | 9-9, .500 PCT |
