| Breaking News | | Saturday, October 3rd, 1936: Off-Field Injury Sidelines Kilgore
SION reports that Fayetteville reliever Brenton Kilgore was injured last night and suffered a hyperextended knee while attempting but missing a high-five with a teammate. He received treatment at a local hospital and was released. He is expected to miss 1-2 weeks before resuming baseball activity.
During his career, Kilgore has a 24-20 record. He has 136 strikeouts in 379 innings and has made 49 appearances, picking up 0 saves and posting a 3.18 ERA.

 | Saturday, August 8th, 1936: Kentwood Shuts Out Fayetteville
Munford Collin was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Greyhounds. He shut them out 1-0 on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts and 5 walks.
The Kentwood manager said, "Munford was very aggressive tonight. He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
The losing manager had praise, too. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well. Collin has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that offspeed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
In 35 starts this year Collin has crafted a 23-12 record and a 2.77 ERA.

| Friday, August 7th, 1936: Shipman Humbles Payne
It was a dazzling performance by Walker Shipman of the Fayetteville Greyhounds. He shut out the Payne Pirates 1-0 on a brilliant 1-hitter, ringing up 2 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks.
