Breaking News Tuesday, September 8th, 1936: Piermont's Latham, Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Quilla Latham of the Piermont Lords had a tremendous season and was chosen the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner in the West. He crafted a standout 25-12 mark in 45 starts, striking out 138, while walking 113. He worked 366.2 innings, yielded 357 hits and a .260 team batting average and posted a 3.12 ERA. For his standout season Latham will be honored at the annual SION Baseball Writers Association awards banquet this weekend. Tuesday, August 18th, 1936: Bedell Spins Shutout Against Lords Kentwood's Ned Bedell brought his "A game" to the park, shutting down and shutting out the Piermont Lords 3-0. He racked up 4 strikeouts, surrendered 4 hits and issued 2 walks on his way to the victory. This year Bedell has posted a 8-5 mark in 14 starts and has a 2.34 ERA.
