| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, September 15th, 1936: |  | Monday, September 7th, 1936: Macon Shuts Out Lookouts, Tracy Winner "Sometimes I was smart . . . and sometimes just a little lucky." That's how Frank Tracy of the Macon Peaches described his shutout victory over the Chattanooga Lookouts. Tracy blanked them 8-0 on 5 hits while striking out 3 and walking 0.
This season Tracy has a 19-14 mark in 36 starts with a 3.81 ERA. He has given up 331 hits in 295.1 innings, struck out 90 and issued 103 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .282 batting average against him. |  | Thursday, August 27th, 1936: Brower Socks It to Lookouts, Cracks 5 Hits During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! Henry Brower went 5 for 5 against the Chattanooga Lookouts at Mobile Grounds and the Bears picked up a 15-6 victory.
He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted right fielder was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room.
"He was patient up there today," the Mobile skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Brower has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes."
H. Brower hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off J. Yates in the 9th.
