Indians starting pitcher Ray Hennessey will be sidelined for 2 weeks with a damaged meniscus. It occurred while working out.
"Obviously we are disappointed," said the Spokane manager, "Let's just hope he gets back soon."
Career-to-date, Hennessey has a record of 45 wins and 23 losses and a 3.08 ERA. |

Seattle hurler Thad Mathis put on quite a show today as he blitzed the Spokane Indians with a 11-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 6 hits with 2 strikeouts and no walks to pick up the win.
The opposing manager told reporters after the game, "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball."
In 1936 Mathis has logged 8 wins and 16 losses and struck out 52 batters in 213.1 innings while compiling a 4.35 ERA.
