Monday, September 28th, 1936: Giants Triumph in 1936 International Series
"When you wear Giants on your shirt," the Jersey City skipper told the press, "you're good at something."

Indeed they are -- good enough to win the 1936 International League International Series.

Today at Roosevelt Stadium the new champions capped off a great season with a 8-7 victory over the Albany Senators to win the series 4-2. It was their 1st title.
Saturday, September 26th, 1936: Senators Stickler Sidelined for 1-2 Weeks
Reuben Stickler of the Albany Senators was injured in today's game against Jersey City and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is back spasms, and he is expected to be out for up to 1-2 weeks. It happened while Stickler was making a defensive play. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."

To date, Stickler has collected 155 hits for a .305 average. He has posted 8 home runs, scored 96 runs and driven in 87 runs.
Friday, September 25th, 1936: Ridin' High, Mcintire Hits for the Cycle
It was a game of mixed emotions for Mose Mcintire. He had just had one of the best games of his career -- he had hit for the cycle -- but his Albany Senators lost the game 16-9 to Jersey City.

"Normally when you have a great game like this, it makes you feel good. But the loss takes some of it away. A real competitor never has fun losing a game."

For the game Mcintire collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including a single, double, triple and home run.

M. Mcintire hit an RBI double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off P. Burruss in the 9th.

So far in 1936 Mcintire has hit .309 with 4 home runs and 40 RBIs. He has played in 129 games and scored 54 times.
