Tuesday, September 22nd, 1936: 27-Year-Old Teller Re-ups with Chiefs for 5 years
Reports began circulating several days ago that Mack Teller would re-sign with the Chiefs, but didn't materialize until today when the club officially confirmed SION's reports.

Details were sketchy, though Syracuse did say Teller would be with the club 5 years beyond his current deal.

In 39 starts this season Teller has gathered 18 wins while suffering 20 losses. He has pitched 335.1 innings, allowed 344 hits, struck out 115 and has a 3.25 ERA.
Tuesday, September 1st, 1936: Mckenzie INT's #1 Pitcher in August
August's best hurler was Joel Mckenzie of Syracuse. He overwhelmed INT hitters all month long and captured the Pitcher of the Month award as he collected a 6-0 record in 7 starts.

The 29-year-old Mckenzie added 19 strikeouts in 52 innings and 21 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.42 ERA. Other clubs hit .242 against him.

In 1936 Mckenzie has posted a record of 20 wins and 9 losses with a 3.47 ERA. He has appeared in 34 games and struck out 75 in 251.2 innings.
Tuesday, September 1st, 1936: Gordon Wins INT's Best Bat Trophy
Hooks Gordon has been the model of consistency over the past month and has been a tough out, claiming the West Batter of the Month trophy for August.

The Syracuse right fielder hit .361 with 2 home runs, 23 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He was also walked 13 times and posted a .436 on-base percentage.

This year Gordon is batting .309 with 9 home runs. He has scored 83 runs and driven in 75.
