Saturday, September 12th, 1936: Kunkel Rumored to be Unhappy in Baltimore
It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Baltimore were buzzing with the news that their 31-year old third baseman Jimmy Kunkel had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Baltimore or wanting to leave." said one person.
Monday, September 7th, 1936: 5-Hit Game for Bush!
Emmett Bush of the Elite Giants was unstoppable in today's 10-5 victory over the Pittsburgh Crawfords at Tom Wilson Park. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Baltimore first baseman after the game. "All I had to do was swing, and I connected. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will."

E. Bush singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

In 1936 Bush is batting .288 with 17 home runs and 86 RBIs.

Newman currently has a .306 batting average with 163 hits, 7 homers, 67 RBIs, 76 runs scored and a .356 OBP.
