 | Thursday, September 24th, 1936: Lalo Pitches Puebla to Shutout Victory Babe Lalo had the Ft Worth Cats dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 11-0 shutout performance for the Puebla Pericos. He gave up 4 hits and collected 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Ft Worth hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery. The opposing manager said, "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point. We just never figured him out." So far this season Lalo has 14 wins and 8 losses and a 3.34 ERA. |
