Wednesday, September 30th, 1936: International League News: The Offseason Begins
It's a bittersweet time for baseball fans -- the joy of having watched the final INT championship game being played is balanced by the realization that it's all over for another season. So begins the offseason, where the winners bask in the glow of their success while the losers take stock of their performance and begin to lay plans for next year. Whether or not those plans will bear fruit is something that only time will tell.

You may now manually select the league award winners, the option is available in the league menu. If you want the AI to select the awards, simply ignore the option.
Monday, September 28th, 1936: Giants Triumph in 1936 International Series
"When you wear Giants on your shirt," the Jersey City skipper told the press, "you're good at something."

Indeed they are -- good enough to win the 1936 International League International Series.

Today at Roosevelt Stadium the new champions capped off a great season with a 8-7 victory over the Albany Senators to win the series 4-2. It was their 1st title.
Sunday, September 27th, 1936: Rochester Re-Signs Star C Hooker to $292,500 Extension
Jesse Hooker might be greedy, but there's no disputing his talent. The hotshot catcher will pocket $292,500 after re-signing with the Red Wings earlier today, and will hang around another 4 years.

Some more financially prudent fans worried that the signing would burden the club down the road and might prevent it from being competitive, though many others were simply thankful that Hooker didn't bolt.

Currently Hooker is batting .316 with 4 home runs and 48 RBIs.
